Susan & Peter Carlson Remembering Cousin Gayle January 4, 2009

Gayle was my cousin and although I only got to see her every few years at family gatherings I always remembered her sweet smile and wonderful personality.  Her work in Samoa made such an impact on me that I often thought of following in her footsteps when I was younger.  I can only imagine the impact she has had on the countless lives she has touched over the years through her work with the Salvation Army Pre-School.  Her legacy will definitly live on in through those children.  Our family will miss her greatly.  Our deepest sympathies to Dave, Aunt Grace, Sharon and Susie.  Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.  God Bless, Susan (Saksa) and Peter Carlson

Marcy Coppernoll Hult Center Instructor December 27, 2008

I am so sorry about Gayle.  For many years while at the Salvation Army Child Care Center, Gayle brought her students to the Hult Center for our summer program.  I was always impressed with Gayle's sincere concern for the well being of her students.  She had such a lovely manner with the children.  My sympathy to all of her family.

Sincerely,

Marcy Coppernoll, Hult Health Education Center

I was shocked and saddened to learn of Gayle's passing.  She was my maid of honor almost 29 years ago.  Though we have not been in touch for a long time, I can still remember her sweet spirit and joyful sense of humor.  She loved to laugh, and we certainly did a lot of it together.  My thoughts and prayers go out to her husband and family in this time of great loss.  While we grieve here, we look forward to a joyous reunion in heaven.  I would appreciate someone contacting me to let me know what happened.  From reading the other condolences, I get the impression she may have been ill for a while, but I just don't know much else.  Thank you.  Susan (Williamson) Lacey  ds.lacey@yahoo.com
Mike and Sue Schaffnit you touched our lives December 27, 2008

It has been said already by so many who knew her, but it will always be the warm smile and geniune caring that we will all miss. I never saw her without a friendly and warm greeting of Christ like love. We are all blessed to have shared even a moment of our lives with her and we will miss how she brightened each of us at Northwoods Church. Dave and family, may you find comfort and peace during this difficult time, knowing that Gayle is home with our heavenly father. Mike and Sue Schaffnit
Lonnie Lee the Light of Gayle Antle December 26, 2008

My fondest memories of Gayle are visions of her smiling eyes accompanying her infectious laugh, her ability and willingness to accept and love everyone, and her devotion to her faith. A role model to me - as she was such a dear friend to my sister, Jeanne. To me, Gayle was part of our family. Gayle was always there (not far from our house, visiting our restaurant frequently, even as far as Somoa her presence was felt) and I expect she always will be. Her imprint in my life is forever. I wish Mrs. Antle, Susie and Sharon peace and comfort together. Gayle was as special as she was because the love and support of her wonderful family. Gayle you could always be counted on for many laughs, while your tenderness and generous heart illuminated many! Thank you for so many formative memories! - lonnie
Paula Dooley Kindness and Tenderness December 26, 2008

I remember Gayle from high school. We graduated the same year. What I remember about Gayle is that she had such a tenderness, kindness about herself that shown through her eyes. She had such a beautiful spirit and shared her love with everyone she met. Gayle was always willing to help other people in need. When I think of Gayle, I see the 2 story house that she grew up in,which was and still is around the corner from my grandmother's house, now my parent's home. What amazes me is that Gayle and I were born the same year and yet here I am looking at her picture. She has gone to see her Lord. As for myself there are a few people you meet in your lifetime that you know are angelic creatures and Gayle was one of them. I am humbled to have known Gayle even if for a short time. I have such sweet memories at the old Antle's place on Russell St. Thank-you Mrs. Antle for the gift of life you gave to Gayle and how lives were touched by her presence. Much love and thoughts come your way from someone who loves all of you....................
Carol (Siebrasse) Long friend December 26, 2008

Gayle and I were connected through our families as our grandmothers were life-long friends.  Professionally, we were both early childhood educators, and Gayle sent many of her pre-school students to me at Hines when they entered Kindergarten.  Gayle was so very dedicated to her job and her students.  Her kindness and patience made her well suited to teach young children.  It was fun to share ideas with one another over the years.  I will always remember her as a wonderfully warm and sweet woman who was a friend to all.  My deepest sympathy to Grace, Sharon, Susie & Dave as you mourn an all to early loss of a special person.
