JANET GORDON FRIEND December 26, 2008

GAYLE HAD A PASSION FOR LIFE THAT MADE YOU LOVE TO BE AROUND HER. MY LIFE WAS ENRICHED BY KNOWING HER. I AM SO SAD TO LEARN OF THE PASSING OF A WONDERFUL DAUGHTER,SISTER, WIFE, FRIEND AND PAST CO-WORKER. I HAD WORKED WITH GAYLE FOR 9 YEARS AT SALVATION ARMY AND LOVED HER SENCE OF HUMOR. I LOVED TO TELL HER JOKES AND THEM EXPLAIN THEM TO HER. SHE WAS SO NAIVE AND WE LOVED THT ABOUT HER. SHE WAS THE MOST GENUINE PERSON ,ALWAYS TREATING EVERYONE WITH LOVE AND KINDNESS. HER FAITH IN GOD AND LOVE MADE HER A ROLE MODEL FOR US ALL. SHE WAS KIND , GENEROUS AND MOST OF ALL THE SWEETEST PERSON. I AM BLESSED TO HAVE KNOWN GALYE FOR THE PAST 16 YEARS AND AM TRULY SADDENED BY HER DEATH. GALYE YOU WILL BE MISSED SO MUCH NOT ONLY BY ME BUT EVERYONE WHOSE LIFE YOU TOUCHED AND THAT WAS THOUSANDS. I AM GLAD YOU ARE NO LONGER SUFFERING AND IN THE MOST BEAUTIFUL PLACE OF ALL, IN HEAVEN WATCHING OVER US ALL. YOU ARE TRULY AN ANGEL NOW IN HEAVEN AS YOU WERE ON EARTH.

We will miss seeing Mrs. Gayle every day. She was a great teacher for Salvation Army. She was a part of many of my special days thought out my years knowing her, other then daycare. She was at my high school gradation party, my wedding, and then my baby shower. Gayle will always have a special place in my heart. The girls and I will miss her and will keep Dave and her family in our prays thought this hard time.

Joyce (Giles) Heerman Childhood Friend December 26, 2008

My heart aches for the loss of such a wonderful person. Gayle and I attended grade school and high school together. We would run into each other around town and it would be like turning the clock back. Gayle's wonderful smile would take me back to simpler times when we were young. I will miss running into her. Mrs. Antle, Sharon, and Susie...I know you are being strong for each other, please accept my deepest sympathy. Dave, I never had a chance to meet you, but her smile in the pictures says it all.  Gayle's face tells the story of how much she cared for you. We are all better for having known her and Heaven will be a brighter place with her there taking care of all the children that went before her. You will all be in my prayers.

Though I've only known Gayle a few years, she made a great impact on my life. Her sweet smile and open arms will me sorely missed at work. She never judged anyone or anything, and was always willing to go the extra mile for a cause. She was always there to compassionately listen and give a hug. I truly loved her and will miss her every day. God bless you Dave and may Gods peace surround you now and forever. Sandy

I met Gayle ten years ago when I became her neighbor.  I liked her immediately.  She had a beautiful smile and was always friendly and thoughtful.  I can't help but think of the many children that will miss her nurturing.  My thoughts and prayers are with her family.  Andrea Brown

Colette Colgan What a sweet friend December 25, 2008

My sympathy and prayers to Gayle's family and friends.  Gayle was a sweet neighbor across the hall in our apartment building.  She always had that sweet smile on her face and never had a bad word to say about anybody.  We both enjoyed our nieces so much and we always had pictures to show and stories to tell.   She was especially good to her mother.  She was one of  the sweetest persons I will ever know.

I knew Gayle's family and watched her grow up at Mt. Olive.  Little did I know that years later we would be neighbors in an apartment building.  I loved being around her there and appreciated her loving ways as an adult.  She had a beautiful smile, and we loved to visit together in each others apartment.  It is certainly my lost but would not wish her back as I know she is walking with Jesus.

Jeanne Lee Yip Best Friends December 24, 2008

Gayle and I became lifelong friends in 6th grade at Franklin Grade School in Peoria.  We hung out together everyday or spent endless hours on the phone talking of our hopes and dreams and of course the latest school gossip.  We both thought we were the funniest girls ever so we never tired of laughing at each other's witty jokes and stories. Our favorite past time in high school was borrowing Gayle's mother's car and driving on the country roads that surrounded Peoria in those days.  We'd drive aimlessly, sharing ideas and looking at the stars.  We went to different universities, but kept in constant touch. When she came back from Samoa, she had me crying with laughter with the stories she told. Whether it was Normal, Champaign, Chicago or California we always managed to visit each other through the years.  Though it was with less frequency then either of us would have preferred, when we got together it always felt like we'd just seen each other the day before.  With Gayle it was always so easy to just pick up from where we had left off.  I will miss her terribly, but my heart smiles when I remember our times together.

All my love and prayers to Mrs. Antle, Susie, Sharon, Dave and the rest of the family.

Gayle was a sweetheart for as long as we can remember.  We grew up together in church at Mt. Olive, and her smile was as endearing then as now.  She was always asking about others, and was faithful to work hard and usually behind the scenes.  Her gentleness will be missed, but how the King of Kings must be enjoying her presence in Heaven.  Our love and prayers to her family.    cindy & don leach
