I grew up with Gayle. We lived right down the street from each other for many years and went threw school together.
She was one of the very best friends I've ever had and although we haven't stayed in touch too well over the last few years she will be missed in my life.
She is a very special person. One year-- I can't remember which one-- she invited me to a movie for my birthday. I had no one at the time to babysit my young daughter so we had to take her with us and of course as children will do my daughter didn't behave very well in the movies. Gayle never gave a hint that it was getting on her nerves as I was becoming more and more upset with my daughter. As it turned out poor Gayle had to sit and watch the rest of the movie by herself. I had to take my daughter out so she didn't upset the rest of the folks in the threater. She was so kind and understanding about the whole deal.
Mrs. Antle, Sue and Sharon and Dave, you guys are in my thoughts and prayers. I know you will all be strong for each other while missing her terribly. I am so sorry!!! Vicky (Weitzel) Hartman
